DESKLINE: Above
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Aria is a friendly, sweet, playful girl that is good with other dogs and enjoys off leash doggy
playgroups. She loves to be with her people and enjoys meeting new human friends. She knows basic
commands and is house & leash trained.
Aria was originally found as a stray who had been abandoned and tied to a light pole in an alleyway.
Stunning Aria was adopted but returned because, playful girl that she is, she doesn't realize her size and would unintentionally knock the adopters little 5 year old girl over when she was doing “zoomies!”
While she was with her adopters she lived and played well with their Aussie and French bulldog.
In summary, Aria loves to play with dogs, is potty trained, loves people, think she's a lap dog, loves to play tug-of-war and loves to give kisses!
Surely there has to be a family/person looking for a best friend to share their live(s) with...Older (10+), dog-savvy kiddos are advised...If that's you, please contact Orange County Animal Care (above) and arrange a meet n' greet. Already have a dog? Bring
them with you for a proper introduction.
BREED: Bully breed blend
AGE: 2 years
COAT LENGTH: Short
HEALTH: All rescue dogs are vaccinated, altered, and micro-chipped.
GOOD WITH: Other dogs; older (10+) respectful, dog-savvy children; cats and other small animals
unknown

Arrow - AT RISK FOR EUTHANASIA
ARROW IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
CONTACT: San Diego TX Animal Control
804 E Juanita St
San Diego, TX 78384
texasurgentpets@gmail.com
DESKLINE: 609-288-2598
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Arrow is a super-loving, playful boy who loves being around people! He is dog-friendly and enjoys off-leash doggy playgroups. Arrow is also food-motivated, which will make training him and teaching him new tricks a breeze! He could easily live with another dog and seems to like both males and females. Arrow has not been kid-tested nor tested with cats or other small animals. With a proper introduction, Arrow could live with another dog.
Shelter staff & volunteer observations:
Our boy Arrow is as sweet as pie! He was found as a stray in rural South Texas. His sweet eyes express his gentle, loving personality. He has been so brave even though the shelter is very scary for him. Arrow has done well with multiple dogs, female and male on leash and off leash. He is very friendly and shows his doggy manners. He is even patient with the shelter puppies who are very energetic! Arrow deserves his own family, who will love him forever. Due to the low number of adoptions in this small town shelter and lack of rescue partners, he is very at risk of euthanasia and needs a lifesaver as soon as possible.
PLEASE! Contact the San Diego Texas Animal Control and arrange a meet n' greet. Arrow does not have much time left if no one tags him. He's only 2 years old! Don't let him die in the shelter before he has a chance to live his best life!

Athena
ATHENA IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE!
CONTACT: Devine Animal Control
305 Watson Ave Devine, Texas 78016
Alexa Garza, devineanimalcontrol1@yahoo.com
DESKLINE: (830)-355-8007
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Athena is a beautiful girl that is great with people. She is an alpha female – she likes to be “top” dog. Athena does well with more submissive dogs and could live with one with a proper introduction. She is fine with respectful older (12+ y/o) kiddos.
Athena hasn't received much, if any, formal training and would definitely benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training classes. She's a smart pooch and would pick up on commands and tricks easily. She would do well in an active home – want to go for a hike or jog? Athena will be right by your side.
Athena's only drawback is her prey drive for cats and other small animals. Definitely no cats or other small animals in the home for her!
If you are interested in meeting Athena, please contact Devine Animal Control to arrange a meet n' greet. Already have a canine companion? Please bring them with you for a proper introduction.

Atticus
ATTICUS IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE!
CONTACT: OC Animal Care
1630 Victory Rd
Tustin, CA 92782
Monica Marshall, monica.marshall@occr.ocgov.com
DESKLINE: 714-796-0065
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Atticus is a fun boy that still has a lot of puppy in him – he is only a year old! He loves to run and jump around in the yard, gets along with other dogs and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. Atticus knows basic commands and is leash trained. He can be a bit mouthy in a playful way at times and would benefit from positive reinforcement training classes to reinforce what he already knows, work on the mouthy behavior and to learn some new tricks.
Atticus was adopted but quickly returned due to a household member being allergic. It was reported he did well with their 12 y/o kiddo for the brief time he was there. Being a young guy, he would love an active home where he would get regular exercise. Remember...a tired dog is a well behaved dog <insert smiley face!>

CONTACT: City of Stockton Animal Services
1575 S Lincoln St
Stockton, CA
Tara Morrison animalcareassistants@apl209.org
DESKLINE: 209-751-7428
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bagel is a young pup that has been at our shelter for WAAAAYYY too long. He is active, playful and
fun and would love to be your next adventure partner/best friend extraordinaire!!!! Bagel has that life of the party personality and he would be thrilled if someone could bust him out of here so he can get to
living his best puppy dog life! The shelter kennels are no fun!!! Bagel is super people oriented and it is starting to break his beautiful spirit being stuck in a kennel by himself for most of the day. He is social and would love to be hanging out with his besties; whether that be another playful pup or those super cool things called humans. Bagel is affectionate and eager to please.
He walks pretty good on leash and his favorite place to be is walking right between his handlers' feet. Kind of weird at first but once you know what's going on it is actually super cute and silly! This guy is
a CHARACTER and we absolutely love this boy! We are hoping someone gives him a chance very soon to be a part of a family. He would be so very thankful and would surely pay you back in tail wags and puppy dog kisses not to mention a loving, loyal partner the rest of his life!
Please contact the shelter above if you are interested in meeting Bagel. Already have a canine companion – Bagel would love that. Bring them along for a proper introduction.

Blacky has been in the shelter way to long. He has not had the best humans dealt to him in the game of life and his quality of life is diminishing being in the shelter this long. Blacky is movie-star handsome
and ready for his close up! (Profile writer is dating herself.) Blacky has become a staff and volunteer favorite. He knows basic commands and is house trained and leash trained for the most part.
Blacky is a friendly guy but like so many of us, is not a fan of going to the doctor. He has developed a limp since being in the shelter that could be a cruciate ligament injury. He loves to run but is currently
kept on leash walks only. Once his knee has been repaired/healed you will have a most enthusiastic

Brandi is dog friendly with slow introductions and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. She knows basic
commands and is house trained. She is an adoring, devoted, top-notch blanket snuggler! She could live in a home with older (10+ y/o) respectful children. She would not do well living with other small dogs
or cats. Other small animals are not recommended as she is easily distracted and strong. She is a big fan
of her cow stuffie and knows the best way to end the day is to be wrapped her in favorite blanket, burrito style.

Bruce
BRUCE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
EUTHANASIA DATE: SEPTEMBER 29
BRUCE VIDEO AND PHOTO ALBUM LINK BELOW!
CONTACT: Stockton Animal Shelter
1575 South Lincoln St.
Stockton CA 95206
sasrescue@stocktonca.gov
DESKLINE: 209-659-7132
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bruce must've had a loving home at some point and he appears to have been well taken care of – well-fed and came in with a nice collar on. He is a happy, playful and ever so affectionate boy that is very treat motivated. He's friendly and cuddly and would love nothing more than to cuddle up on the sofa with his family/person and watch tv. Feel like taking a stroll in the neighborhood? Bruce would love that! Bruce is good with other dogs and he is in doggie playgroups with gentle easy-going dogs. Every once in a while he will try to kick up his heels to play but then gets a bit worried when he can’t find the dog in front of him and will walk away to sniff the nearest blade of grass.
What the shelter veterinarian had to say about Bruce's vision: Doctor suspects Progressive retinal
atrophy (PRA) is an inherited eye disease that leads to blindness in dogs. PRA is a non-painful condition that tends to progress slowly over time, often starting with a decreased ability to see well at night. While there is no cure available right now, most dogs adapt well to their vision loss and continue to have a good quality of life.
Interested in giving a loving senior dog a loving home to spend the rest of his life in? You would be richly rewarded in return with a loving, loyal furry friend. Please contact the Stockton Animal Shelter (above) and make an appointment to meet Bruce. Already have a dog? Bring them with you for a proper introduction. Please hurry – his “due out” date is quickly approaching – it would be a shame if he had to be euthanized.

CONTACT: Devine Animal Control
305 Watson Ave
Devine, Texas 78016
Alexa Garza, devineanimalcontrol1@yahoo.com
DESKLINE: (830)-355-8007
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bruno is a very sweet boy that loves his humans – and loves attention! He is good with other dogs and doesn't seem very interested in the cats at the shelter. He was, however, brought to the shelter for killing
a neighbor's cats. Shelter staff feel he was following his partner in crime and as mentioned, not very interested in the cats at the shelter. That being said, a kitty-free home would be necessary – no sense in
setting him up for failure...
Bruno doesn't appear to have had any formal training and would definitely benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training classes. He's smart and treat motivated and would learn his basic
commands in a jiffy!
If you are interested in meeting Bruno, please contact Devine Animal Control (above) for more

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bubba's foster mom has this to say about him: “Overall Bubba was a snuggle-bug who just followed me around and seemed so much more relaxed and happy. He was great in the car and enjoys having his head out of the window. There were no adverse reactions to outside vehicles, people or dogs. Bubba was good in the home and really enjoyed snuggling up. I got him a chew and he hid it under the bed. Later he tried to bury it. No potty accidents or tearing/chewing things up. I also got him a tuffy toy that he enjoyed playing with. We did an evening walk with my other dog and he was great on leash. He slept in bed with me, preferring to be snuggled up right next to me. This morning we did another walk with my dog. We let her off leash and he was kept on and there were no issues. During the walking portion he got a little excited with my other dog but after a correction from her he was polite. I decided to try him with a 15 foot lead, which he was very excited about, and some leash biting ensued. He is very good about re-directing with treats but I didn't have any with me. It took a minute or two but I just made the leash short again and we kept walking. I gave him more leash slowly and that worked better.”
Bubba knows basic commands and is leash trained. He is good with other dogs with a proper introduction. He is friendly, eager to learn and please.
Doesn't Bubba sound just like the pooch you've been thinking of getting? If so, please contact the Santa Barbara County Animal Services (above) for more information. Already have a canine house-mate? Bring them along for a proper introduction.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Bugsy is good with other dogs with a slow introduction and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. He's
good with respectful, older (10+ y/o) kids and knows basic commands. Bugsy does have minor
separation anxiety and escaping behaviors and the shelter has a trainer that is working with Bugsy on these minor issues.
Notes from the shelter:
Bugsy and his siblings were a little shy at first but over time has turned into a great young pup with a slightly rebellious spirit that includes an eagerness for exploration and endless adventures. While in foster care, Bugsy has done great with the resident family's two larger dogs and even their older children. Bugsy is still a little slow-to-warm-up kind of dog but once he warms up and gets
comfortable, he is nothing but an affectionate cuddle bug who doesn't mind playing with his friends.
Bugsy is a star athlete and his long legs will take him anywhere you are looking to travel next. He
would be great for any adventures outdoors and absolutely loves the beach. Bugsy also loves to show off his quick wit and intelligence and is currently working on improving his forever dog skills and
commands in his foster. He can't wait to show off his new skills along with his adventurous spirit to his forever family.
Please contact the Galveston Island Humane Society and ask them about Bugsy and how to make him a
part of your family today!

Who's looking for a new best friend? Cali is your gal! Cali is a medium weight (50#) sweetheart that is in the prime of her life! She is not a puppy so there will be no house training or chewing issues to deal with. Cali is good with other dogs, knows basic commands and is house & crate trained! A round of
positive reinforcement classes would be great for her to brush up on these commands as well as learn some new tricks. She would be okay in a home with another dog that had the same energy level (she is
currently living with another dog in her foster home).
Older (10+) respectful children that can
understand to give her space when she needs it are advised .
Calli is looking for a family/person that will give her time to decompress and make her a part of a

Canela- AT RISK FOR EUTHANASIA
CANELA IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
CLICK LINK BELOW FOR VIDEOS AND PHOTOS
EUTHANASIA DATE: She is on the "Euth If Full List.” She can be euthanized at any time the shelter is too full.
CONTACT: Stockton Animal Service
1575 South Lincoln St. Stockton Ca. 95206
Katt Rogers/Tara Morrison - sasrescue@stocktonca.gov
DESKLINE: 209-659-7132
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
This cutie-patootie is only 13 months old and could die any day. Canela is bouncy, happy-go-lucky, playful and a big cuddler. She is dog friendly and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. She is leash trained and knows a few basic commands but would love to go to a round of positive reinforcement
training classes and learn as much as she can so her new family/person won't abandon her.
Canela wants to make her humans happy! She is a bigger pooch and can be playful with her people – keep this in mind with small children. Older (12+) kiddos are advised.
Notes from the shelter:
This sweet girl was found as a stray and in bad shape. Canela was surrendered her to the shelter as the
owner was no longer able to care for her. She is the biggest love bug and all she wants is affection from
her person/people. When you get excited, she does the funniest little zoomies and you can’t help but
laugh out loud! In the kennel Canela doesn’t show her personality AT ALL and will just stand there,
stare at you or bark... But bring her out and she’s an absolutely adorable little “Tank Girl” who just
can’t help but wiggle that cute little tush!
Who’s looking for a perfect pitty girl how will play dress up, give lots of cuddles and is a super
social butterfly with people?! In playgroups: Canela met both male and female dogs. She is a mix and mingle girl with gentle, male dogs. She did engage in a little light play with respectful male dog in playgroup. Canela is a bit stiff and uncomfortable with female dogs but did OK with slow introduction. She was playful and vocal with her brother Blue whom she came in with. She might be more playful with gentle male dog that gives her space and time to get comfortable. Gentle male dogs only.
Please contact Stockton Animal Service and make an appointment to meet Canela! You will not be
sorry...please hurry – she could be euthanized at any time. If you already have a pooch, bring them with you for a proper introduction.

Charlie is a happy-go-lucky goofball of a boy who is ready to bring some zoomies and playtime into your life! Why not call the Dallas Animal Shelter (above) and make an appointment to meet Charlie?
Already have a dog? Charlie would like that...a playmate...bring them with you for a proper
introduction.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Chase has been abused and consequently is very timid yet somehow remains very loving and sweet. He is good with other dogs and and although not very playful at the moment he enjoys off leash doggy
playgroups and walking around. It took shelter staff and volunteers awhile to get him to come out of his kennel and they feel he was abused to stay in his kennel so it was his safe spot. Although he hasn't been tested around other animals, shelter staff feel he may be okay with them because he is so gentle.
Respectful, older children – kiddos that can understand his background and give him space when needed - are advised.
Notes from the shelter:
Chase has been the worst case of mental abuse I have seen at the shelter in over my year and half at the shelter. He did not want to come out of his kennel. I eventually used another dog to guide him out. Once outside he relaxes and opens up. Now I can take him out just fine, I just have to let him take a
step out of the kennel before putting the lead over his head. He mainly just walks around with other dogs, not really a "play". He needs work on that. He really needs a chance. The shelter is no place for him. He is so sweet and has came so far but needs more. He just wants to be loved. He will need patience. He will flinch and cower over a water hose. He's so worth this chance. I just love him.
Chase needs a family/person to show him not all humans are despicable. He is past his due date and could be euthanized any day. Please, if you can give Chase give time to decompress and a loving home, contact the Tulare Animal Services (above) and arrange a meet n' greet with Chase.

PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Chi is becoming very kennel stressed and he is running out of time. (Please watch his videos) Chi is a smart, strong, loving girls and loves to play. He would benefit from a round of positive reinforcement training classes after given a time to decompress. This would also be a great opportunity for his new family/person to form a strong bond.
Chi has had a horrible start to life (again, please watch his videos) and deserves a family/person that will love her, protect him, give him love, structure and show him how wonderful his life is going to be. He has a high prey drive so no cats, small dogs or other small animals.
Chi came to the shelter after being shot in the face and left to die. Well, he didn't die! Please, someone rescue Chi before it's too late! The shelter is overcrowded and dogs are coming in everyday. Don't let Chi get euthanized because the shelter needs his kennel!
Please contact the Galveston Island Humane Society for more information on Chi. He's waiting....

Chuco
CHUCO IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE
CONTACT: Española Humane
108 Hamm Parkway
Española, NM, 87532
sara@espanolahumane.org
DESKLINE: (505) 753-8662
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Chuco is a handsome, friendly, happy-go-lucky, smart, playful and loyal hunk that is good with other dogs and enjoys off leash doggy playgroups. He knows basic commands and is house/leash trained. Due to his size, older children (10+) are advised. Chuco was a little too interested in the shelter's feral cats so a cat or other small animal free home is recommended. He has lived with another dog and would not mind having a doggy roommate.
Here is what shelter staff & volunteers had to say:
Chuco is a total hunk, and at nearly 78 pounds, he can be strong as an ox. But that's not really this good boy's style. Chuco is a gentleman on leash, sits politely for treats, and is house-trained. This handsome boy loves going out with the staff and has done well with other dogs (especially those that respect his space), but he's more than ready to find his forever home and a person that will enjoy walks and cuddles as much as he does. Chuco would love to find a home for the holidays that has a big yard, a soft couch, and a family who can keep him company.
Why not contact the Espnola Humane Society, arrange a meet n' greet and find out for yourself what a wonderful boy Chuco is? Already have a canine partner? Bring them with you for a proper introduction.
